Heard a lot of good review so I decided to try it out. Made pork sausages and used this seasoning for the first time. Accidentally put a little too much but still good. Tastes like your traditional sausage seasoning.Tasty and easy to use.I slaughter and sell homemade sausage made with this seasoning and my clients love it!Was easy to mix and the flavor was excellentIt tastes good but to get enough of the spices to have a proper sausage flavor it makes the sausage way too salty. So I bought some liquid smoke flavoring to give it a flavor boost without being overly salty. I wish that I would have tried another brand before buying this multipack, but it is what it is.This is a excellent mild seasoning for homemade pork sausage. I spent a few years in a meat market and we'd use Legg's seasoning when we'd make our own sausage. I de-boned a mix of Boston Butt, trimmed excess fat off and added some leaner cuts of loin. Per instructions one 8oz bag to 25 pounds of meat. I had right at 12 pounds so adjusted accordingly. I coated the pork, turning it with my hands then let sit overnight. I ran it thru my grinder (larger hole plate) for a course grind then sprinkled some more seasoning as I continued to mix it. I then ran it thru a finer plate for the final grind. For cooking I formed into patties and cooked on a rack in the oven at 350 for about 30 or 40 minutes total flipping at the halfway point. (Use a meat thermometer to check temp). This is an excellent easy to use seasoning, I may just sprinkle it on a pork roast for the smoker but that is for another time. Again I used the Leggs brand over 40 years ago and it is just as good now as it was then.Love this stuff but it's become hard to find in stores. We use it on pork and chicken. Chops, sausage, baked chicken breast. So good! Great flavor!Has a good flavor
