A few years ago, I bought this from an Asian Market. It is a simple dry rub that you can mix with water and marinate, or, just apply dry directly to the meat. I have never marinated it, as it doesn't seem necessary, when you can do the dry rub method with great results. I have only used it on baby backs, and it is so succulent. I also only have grilled them outdoors, but the rub creates a deep pink, sweet/savory glaze, exactly like you would get with spare ribs in a Chinese restaurant. I haven't used it on oven ribs, but I would imagine it works great, so long as you finish it under the broiler to get that crispy finish. GREAT product!!I have tried so many others, but this is the best. We relocated to the south and chinese barbecue spare ribs was one of the biggest things we missed until we discovered the mixUse it all the time, Family favoriteChar Siu is great. No MSG but still a great favor!I made the NOH Fried rice with this and my family loved it.I am marinating some more now and making a double batch now.
